Donations to the Marie M. Clay Memorial Fund
Reading Recovery was founded by Marie M. Clay, a New Zealand
teacher educator and researcher who died in April, 2007.
Marie Clay was a mentor, a colleague, and a friend to many of us.
Her dedication and contributions to educational theory,
research, and practice have changed the lives of millions of
children and teaching professionals worldwide. The Reading Recovery
Council of North America, with the support of the North American
Trainers Group, has created the Marie M. Clay Memorial Fund.
As this fund grows, it will support building on her research and
vision in the years to come, to sustain Reading Recovery and further
develop the theory and practice in Literacy Lessons Designed for
Individuals. Contributions can be mailed to RRCNA with a check
designating the RRCNA Marie M. Clay Memorial Fund, or made on-line
at the
Make a Gift page on our website.
When you
make an online gift to RRCNA, you can specify the person in whose honor
the gift is being made.
