Teacher Leader Training for the 2008-2009 School Year

Deluxe Corporation Foundation
Since 1954, the Deluxe Corporation Foundation has awarded more than $83 million to education, arts and human services programs and nonprofits. Through programs like Reading for Life, which focuses on helping students who struggle with reading, the Deluxe Foundation seeks to make its communities better places to live and work.

Number available: six
Amount: $15,000
Awarded to: A school or school system training a teacher to become a Reading Recovery teacher leader. 
Eligibility: School districts throughout the U.S. and Canada.  Special consideration will be given to schools, districts, consortiums or Reading Recovery sites in the general communities near Deluxe facilities.  Click here for Deluxe Corporation facilities.
To attend: A year-long graduate course at a Reading Recovery University Training Center.

The TOSA Foundation
The TOSA Foundation is a private family foundation that awards gifts to charitable and educational causes.  The foundation has helped to establish the Reading Recovery University Training Center at the University of Wisconsin at Madison, and in partnership with RRCNA the TOSA Foundation is offering scholarships to defray the cost to schools of training teacher leaders at this UTC.

Number available: three
Amount: $15,000
Awarded to: A school or school system training teachers to become Reading Recovery teacher leaders.
To attend: A year-long graduate course at the University of Wisconsin at Madison.

Application deadline was June 30.
