All Reading Recovery and Descubriendo La Lectura teacher leaders listed in the North American Reading Recovery Directory are registered by the Reading Recovery Council of North America. Registry status is determined by the teacher leader’s affiliated university training center, based on compliance with all the Standards and Guidelines of Reading Recovery in the United States, and continued employment in the role of teacher leader in a trademarked Reading Recovery site.

The purpose of the RRCNA Teacher Leader Registry is:

To recognize the significant achievement of those educators who have participated in the rigorous, year-long training as Reading Recovery teacher leaders;

To recognize the commitment of teacher leaders to their on-going, long-term professional development;

To affirm to the public that RRCNA and Reading Recovery teacher leaders are serious about maintaining high quality standards of instruction for children, ongoing professional development of teacher leaders, and the integrity of Reading Recovery implementations.

This online Directory is a cooperative project of Reading Recovery educators and administrators throughout North America. The editorial staff of the Directory extends its thanks to all of the university training centers that reported the listed information.
