The Communications Committee:

• Promotes publication activity that is compatible with the general policies and procedures established by the Code of Regulations and the board of RRCNA.
• Supports the goals of RRCNA and the work of other program standing committees through the publication and dissemination of high-quality material.
• Establishes and monitors policies and procedures for publications sponsored by RRCNA, including newsletters, a journal, monographs, position papers, occasional papers, and planning documents.
• Establishes and monitors policies and procedures for review and dissemination of non-print materials (such as videos and Web site) sponsored by RRCNA.
• Establishes and monitors the responsibilities and terms of each editorship of RRCNA journals.
• Establishes procedures for identifying qualified RRCNA members to serve as editors of regularly published newsletters and the annual journal.
• Conducts searches to identify qualified editors.
• Explores issues relevant to marketing selected RRCNA publications to audiences beyond Reading Recovery educators and members of RRCNA.
• Establishes an annual budget in conjunction with the fiscal officer of RRCNA.
• Establishes policies regarding advertising in RRCNA publications.
